Manu Temple is the only temple for Rishi Manu in the world. In Hindu mythology, Rishi Manu is believed to be the creator of human life after a great flood. It is also said that Rishi Manu meditated here, making this temple a holy pilgrimage site. Manali derives its name from Manu, “Manali” is made of two words “Manu-Alaya,” translating to “the abode of Manu.”
