BIG NEWS: Thailand has now waived off the visa on arrival fees from December 1 and January 31 for the travelers from 21 countries that also included India.
Now all you need to travel to Thailand would be just a passport. Thailand has just waivered off its visa on arrival fee which is great news now. It is a limited time offer so avail it before it ends.
To increase the tourist population in the country and give a boost to the tourism, the cabinet of Thailand has approved a measure to waiver off the two months fees that is paid by visitors for visas on arrival. This is one beautiful tropical island that was favoured by tourists from all over the world. Thailand had once witnessed an all time low in tourism, especially from the country such as China.
Now, there are tourists from 21 countries who would not be paying any visa fee of 2,000 baht (Rs 4,385) in the time period that is between December 1 and January 31 for the travelers.
The countries who would get the advantage here would be China, India, Saudi Arabia, Bhutan, Taiwan, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Fiji, Ukraine Ethiopia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Latvia, Papua New Guinea, Mauritius, San Marino, Romania, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Though, duration of stay in the country will be fixed at 15 days.
As per the Thai Government, the visa-on-arrival fee waiver will boost the tourism by at least 30 percent.
Thailand has experienced a lull in tourism after a boat accident happened in July that killed more than 40 Chinese tourists in Phuket.
As well as this island has been once struck by an ecological imbalance because of the over tourism of this place. Now this place is all set to welcome the tourists again.
